This weekend the TNF Lavaredo Ultra Trail takes place in the Dolomite mountains of Italy.
It’s going to be an exciting race with a particularly strong line up in the women’s field. So wide open that I am having great difficulty in just picking three top spots let alone in what order.
So a Swiss baguette, of France’s Nathalie Mauclair and Caroline Chaverot with Switzerland’s Andrea Huser in the middle.
The men’s field is wide enough but based on last year, they will go out fast and then there will be some carnage. Those that run sensibly and semi conservatively will reign supreme.
That’s why I am putting New Zealands Scott Hawker down for the win as he is having a cracking 2015 building on 2014 and American Tim Olson in second as I’m sure he will be looking to rectify his performance at Transvulcania. Didrik Hermansen from Norway had a great race at Transgrancanaria in March and this is of a similar distance and terrain where he should perform well.
